Picture Retakes will be on November 11, 2009.
A note from Nurse Yoly: The district is asking that all parents return the H1N1 consent forms whether they say yes or no to the vaccine. We need to prove that we have given everyone the option of the vaccine. So far only about 25% of the forms have been returned. Please try and get them back as soon as possible. We will have extra forms available at parent teacher conferences.
There have been some concerns with some of the parents who have chosen to receive the H1N1 vaccine for their child. We will try to honor their chosen type of H1N1 vaccine (i.e. Live attenuated H1N1 via nasal spray or Inactivated H1N1 via intramuscular injection) but due to the vaccine supply issues we may have to give their child whatever type of H1N1 vaccine Public Health receives. If you (parents) feel strongly about the type of vaccine, please call Nurse Yoly at 224-9088 and please leave a message if she is not here.
Also, understand that if you will only accept a certain type of vaccine, your child will need to wait until their preferred type of vaccine is available. You can also follow up with their personal Health Care Provider for any questions and concerns regarding H1N1 issues.
