Letter of Thanks

Seward Parks and Recreation hosted the annual Pumpkin Prowl & Family Masquerade Ball Sat, Oct 24th. Thanks to Brent Ursel at Glacier Family Medicine for sponsoring this year’s Pumpkin Prowl and to the TYC councils for hiding the mini pumpkins along with all of your hard work. We had 50 kids participate along with their parents braving the pouring rain and cold, thank you to all those folks for attending this event. Following the Pumpkin Prowl across the street at the Seward Resort families danced the night away at the Masquerade Ball. SPRD would like to thank and recognize Jamie and the crew at Seward Resort for the use of their facility.  And to the Polar Bear Festival for their donation toward the tasty treats everyone enjoyed. Thank you Safeway for your generous donation of merchandise that we used as prizes for our costume contest and raffle.  Thanks to our mix master DJ Beau Crosby along with Misha O’Leary for their expertise and great choice of music. Much appreciation to the SPRD staff and to all those who participated in these fun events. Without our sponsors & volunteers these events would not be possible. After School Program

The Teen and Youth Center staff is proud to offer this high quality, fairly priced recreational program to youths in grades K – 6. The ASP emphasizes Cooperative Play, Team Building, Leadership Opportunities, Homework Help, Physical Activities, Outdoor Play and Crafts of all sorts in a socially rich environment. Please join us M-F from 3:15 – 5:30 just take bus 3 to the TYC. Sign up at the TYC or call 224-5472 for more information. TYC is proud to offer a sports shuttle to transport participants in School Sports to the TYC ASP after the sport @ 4:15pm. Parents must sign up their child with the TYC by calling 224-5472 or stop by. Registration of 5 participants is required to run the shuttle.

“School’s Out Day Camps” & Vacation Breaks

Day Camp: Fri, Dec 18th; Christmas Camp: Dec 21-24 & New Year’s Camp: Dec 28-31st. Campers will enjoy days filled with fun: Field Trips, Arts & Crafts, Baking & Cooking, Outdoor Fun, Gym Time, Movies & Popcorn, Treats & Prizes, Team-Building Games, Computer Games And More! Campers need to bring a lunch, morning & afternoon snacks or money for the Snack Shack. Early registration is encouraged as limited space available. Camps are non-transferable and non-refundable. Teen Harvest Basketball Tourney’s

Join us for a 2 on 2 Double Elimination Basketball Tournament sponsored by the TYC Councils! For High School save the date for Fri, Nov 20^th at 6 pm and for Middle School Sat, Nov 21^st at 3pm. Both tourneys will be held at the Sports & Rec Gym located at 519 4^th Ave and a minimum of 8 teams are required so sign up early! “Eat Dessert First” at the TYC!

Seward’s Teen & Youth Center will be hosting a day of eating pie with you friends and family. Come with your families to eat some of yummy desserts at the TYC Wed, Nov 25 from 5:15 to 6:15 pm. See you there!

Harlem Ambassadors Basketball Show

SPRD is bringing the Harlem Ambassadors back! Mark your calendars Fri, Dec 4th at 7pm at the High School Gym for some dazzling ball handling tricks, high flying slam dunks & hilarious family comedy. Watch for tickets going on sale Nov 1st. Call 224-4054
