THERE IS NO SCHOOL ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29TH AND 30TH.  THERE WILL BE PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES ON THOSE DAYS.

Cross country runners, please remember to turn in your uniforms.

Do you have stray calculators that you don’t use anymore and they are just getting in the way?  If so, please bring them in and donate them to SHS.  Thanks to Sherry Perry for her recent donation. Thanks to Mrs. Beck and Ms. Hammer, too, for their donations.

We also collect Boxtops for Education and Campbell’s soup labels for Seward Elementary.  Send yours in and we will see that Seward El gets your donation.

Committee Recruitment

The School District is recruiting members for the following committees:
•       Calendar Committee: This committee will review the 2010-11 and 2011-12 calendar and make recommendations to the Board. Parents, teachers, administrators, support employees are encouraged to apply. A meeting will be scheduled in October after the completion of negotiations.
•       Reconsideration of Instructional Materials Committee: This committee will review complaints against instructional materials used in KPBSD classrooms and make recommendations to the Board. Parents, teachers, librarians, principals and community members are encouraged to apply. Meetings will be scheduled on an as needed basis.

Applicants should include full name, address, contact numbers, email address, and a brief statement explaining their interest to MAuxier@kpbsd.k12.ak.us or fax to 907-262-5867. Committee selections will be based upon potential contributions to the group and districtwide representation.
