Continuation of Nightly Seward Highway Closures

(2 votes, average: 5.00 out of 5)This is notification of the continuance of nightly Seward Highway closures at the Trail River Bridge.
Project manager Tal Maxwell has issued this update:
We will be continuing the nightly closures of the Seward Hwy. into the week of October 18th. The highway will be closed at Trail River Bridge for rock excavation and blasting operations starting at 11 PM and extending to 5 AM from Sunday, October 18th through Thursday night, October 22nd. We expect to be complete with the rock excavation at the end of the week, but could be finished earlier. If so, we will notify you as soon as practicable.
At this time the duration of the nightly closures still remains dependent upon the conditions encountered as Tal and his crew continue their work into the rock face. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. We will keep you advised of changes and progress as our work proceeds.
