1st case of H1N1 in AK
Just a heads up that Alaska has its first confirmed case of novel H1N1 (formerly known as swine flu) as of today. Patient is from Tanana Valley and testing was done at the Tanana Valley Clinic.

Libary closed for Memorial Day
The Seward Community Library will be closed in obsevation of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25th. We will reopen at our usual time the following day.
2009 Combat Fishing Tournament
3rd Annual Armed Services Combat Fishing Tournament was a success!
The winning fish for 10,000 dollars went to Master Sgt. Brent Johnson from Elmendorf Air Base. The 183lb fish was caught aboard the Aurora of Aurora Charters
