Calling Seward Residents.

Are you afraid of new challenges?

  • Have you ever wanted to know more about right-of-ways, easements and subdivision agreements?

  • Want to know what a variance or a conditional-use permit is and what they do?

  • Why do cities have comprehensive planning and zoning?

  • How does growth and development impact a community?

  • Wouldn’t it be nice to actually know more about Seward’s Official Zoning Map and Land use plan maps?

  • Think you are a fair individual? Wish you could interpret the law?

  • Are you one of those people that see construction and wonder about traffic patterns?

If any of the above sounds interesting to you, why not step out of your comfort zone and offer some time to the Seward Planning & Zoning Commission? This is a vital Commission to our city that addresses a wide variety of land usages. After that initial learning curve, you will be rewarded with; training seminars if you wish, expanded knowledge of these community issues, you could become an expert in this field, be happy with yourself for following through, and make new friends along the way! Make it a New Year resolution to get involved. Stop by the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall. We can answer any other questions you have AND give you an application if you are interested!
