December dawned with a spectacular sunrise over Resurrection Bay this morning. Despite the fact that my computer has crashed twice today, causing me to rewrite this edition of the “Chronicle” several times, I am taking the colorful skies as a sign of a wonderful month of celebration ahead.

Activities kick off on Thursday evening with the Community Party at the Alaska SeaLife Center (6-8PM). Friday heralds in holiday shopping with December’s First Friday Art Walk and the opening of the Seward Arts & Crafts Bazaar. On Saturday, the Holiday Train rolls into town with Santa and Mrs. Claus and a few hundred Seward fans. With 22 businesses participating in the passport program, there’s a great incentive for our Anchorage friends to get out and about in Seward, hopefully loading up on great gifts for friends and family.

Here’s to the week ahead,
