YOU’RE INVITED:  Qutekcak Native Tribe is pleased to announce its 15th Annual Sobriety Gathering.  Our gathering is a spiritual and cultural event promoting healthy lifestyles in our community.  This event has become a popular, family oriented gathering attended by people from throughout the state who would like the opportunity to celebrate healthy lifestyles.  The activities of the day include performances by various Alaska Native Dance and Drum groups (our host drum is Mount Susitna Inter-Tribal), Alaskan arts and craft vendors, healthy lifestyle and subsistence vendors, food vendors and special speakers.  This is a great opportunity to learn about Native culture in Seward, Alaska and to celebrate healthy life choices.  This event will take place at the Alaska Railroad Cruise Ship Terminal located at 913 Port Avenue on Saturday, September 20th beginning with Grand Entry at 10am.  There will be a community potluck at 5:30pm, please bring a dish to share.  This event is open to the public and FREE of charge!  We hope to see you there!

 Special Performance:  Pamyua is BACK!  Qutekcak Native Tribe will be kicking off its annual gathering with a performance by Pamyua at the Seward High School Gymnasium on Friday, September 19th.  Tickets are available at the QNT Tribal Office located at 221 Third Avenue OR at the door for a mere $5.00 each!  Kids 5 years old and under get in FREE with an adult!  This event has been sponsored by the Seward Music Association (formerly the Seward Band & Choir Booster Association), the Seward High School, the Seward Middle School, the Seward Elementary School and Qutekcak Native Tribe.  Thank you sponsors!
