On August 2, 2008 the Alaska SeaLife Center will host its 10th annual “Wildlife Rescue Run,” a five-kilometer race that helps raise money for the Center’s rehabilitation department. The event attracts approximately 150 participants walking or running the course, along with families whose children participate in an accompanying “Junior Rescue Rally.”

The Alaska SeaLife Center is the only permanent facility in Alaska licensed to rescue and rehabilitate marine mammals and birds. The rehabilitation program depends on financial support from the community in its continuing efforts to treat these animals, and all sponsorships and entry fees will benefit Wildlife Rescue.
