Honey Bee Observation Hive at the Library Tuesday, June 17th
Children of Seward are invited to visit the Seward Community Library on Tuesday, June 17 and check out the bees that will also be visiting the library that day. Moose Pass resident Irene Lindquist will have her observation hive at the library from 10 am until 6 pm. Students will be able to observe the worker bees feeding and cleaning the queen, feeding the larvae, and building cells. Also on June 17, the library will be giving out pollinator wheels donated by the Pollinator Partnership and craft packages from Wikki Stix. These materials were given to the library by Marie Wagner and Wagner World Travel.
