NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seward City Council will conduct a public hearing on the following items of business at its regular meeting of June 9, 2008.
Non-Code Ordinance 2008-015, Appropriating Funds To Make Expenditures Which Could Influence The Outcome Of An Election Concerning A Ballot Proposition Addressing A Biennial Budget In An Amount Not To Exceed $1,500.
Essential terms and conditions of leases and all other pertinent copies of public hearing documents are available for review at the city clerk office.
The public hearing will commence at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as business permits, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 410 Adams Street, Seward. All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and participate in the discussion; or, written comments may be sent to the City of Seward, c/o City Clerk, P.O. SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
NOTICE OF VACANCIES
The City Council is seeking applications from city residents interested in serving on the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission. There are two seats available.
Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk. Completed application forms and conflict of interest statements must be filed with the Clerk.
Notice of Vacancies on the
Port and Commerce Advisory Board
The City Council is seeking applications from citizens of Seward and the surrounding area, interested in serving on the Port and Commerce Advisory Board (PACAB). There are two seats available with terms expiring in July 2011.
The PACAB meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month during the lunch hour from 12:00 to 1:00 pm., or at other times as needed if requested by the Chair.
Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk. Completed application forms must be filed with the Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 7, 2008. Applicants will be asked to make a short presentation to the City Council at its July 14, 2008 meeting, regarding their qualifications and interest in serving on the Board. Later that evening the City Council will vote for two applicants to serve for terms that will expire July, 2011.
