NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seward City Council will conduct a public hearing on the following items of business at its regular meeting of May 12, 2008.

HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION

NOTICE OF VACANCY

The City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission. Membership on the Commission is open to residents of Seward and the surrounding area. There are two seats becoming vacant.

The Historic Preservation Commission meets at least twice a year in the City Council Chambers and at such other times as may be requested by the Commission Chair or the Administration.

There are two commission seats vacant, with terms expiring May 2011. Application forms are available in the office of the City Clerk. Completed applications must be filed with the office of the City Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2008. In addition, applicants are asked to address the Council at its May 26, 2008 meeting regarding their qualifications to serve on the Commission. Later that evening the City Council will select two applicants to serve until May 2011.
