Bob and Doherty Miller celebrated 50 years together on April 20.
The two first met in Anchorage and were married in 1957 at the old courthouse downtown. They have been hunting, fishing and enjoying life together ever since.
Bob and Doherty owned a stone masonry company in Anchorage and built the Denali and Fireweed Theaters, as well as several other block buildings in Anchorage.
The Millers retired to Seward 25 years ago. Bob built their home here and continued block laying and commercial fishing.
Doherty has recently come out of retirement and works as a dock representative for Hertz Car Rental in Seward, where she enoys greeting incoming passengers from the cruise ships.
