3:03 p.m. Reporting party from Seaview requested officers’ assistance with a client who was refusing to get back into the Seaview van and was becoming disruptive. Officers responded to Safeway. Subject was taken into protective custody and transported to Seward Community Jail. 5:54 p.m. Citation issued to Jimmie Wayne Jr., no age given, for speeding. 6:06 p.m. Reporting party advised Richard Setters was breaking things and caller would like an officer at Resurrection Blvd. Officers responded. 6:19 p.m. Richard Setters advised that his uncle hit him in the nose at Resurrection Blvd. Officers responded. Richard Setters, no age given, was arrested for fourth-degree assault. 6:31 p.m. Wesley Care Center requested an ambulance to transport a patient to hospital.

10:41 p.m. Ambulance requested to transport a patient to Wesley from Providence Seward Medical Center. 10:55 p.m. Reporting party from Seaview requested an officer to walk through the building with her since the door was open. Officer responded and all was OK. 11:38 p.m. Female inmate was taken to hospital for small lacerations on left wrist. Officer transported subject to Providence for medical treatment and then returned her to Seward Community Jail. 11:52 p.m. Dispatch noticed two vehicles parked in front of Baytraders that were throwing fireworks out onto the road. Officers responded and subjects were gone on arrival.

1:25 a.m. Reporting party advised of a red pickup swerving on the road. Officer responded to vehicle that was parked in front of First Video. Snowden, no age or first name given, was incarcerated at Seward Community Jail per probation officer’s request for Probation Violation. Portable breath test registered .020. 3:05 a.m. 911 hang-up call received. Call back was a message. Officer responded to Seward Army Recreation room and spoke with Huestis, no age or first name given, who was arrested for fourth-degree domestic violence assault and incarcerated at Seward Community Jail. 4:32 p.m. Reporting party from 1st Avenue advised he had no water. 6:33 p.m. Citation issued to William Hanrahan, no age given, for speed. 8:34 p.m. Citation issued to Eileen Eavis, no age given, for speed. 9:14 p.m. Reporting party advised of a 10-12 year old juvenile with a black dog on a leash running out in traffic by Bayside Apartments. Gone on arrival. 9:26 p.m. Reporting party advised her 17-year-old daughter has been gone since noon and was not at the dance at 9 p.m. 11:01 p.m. Reporting party from above entry called and her daughter contacted mom via cell phone and was on a boat with a teacher and a friend of the teacher.

12:59 p.m. Earthquake southeast of the Solomon Islands at 12:40 p.m. No tsunami watch or warning is being issued at this time. 1:26 p.m. Reporting party advised of her power out at Chamberlain and Dairy Hill area. Heard a loud boom sound outside. Contacted electric and also advised officer. 3:55 p.m. Reporting party advised his roommate came to their apartment at Bayside, intoxicated, stating the boat the Taku was in the small boat harbor and it was sinking. Reporting party wanted an officer to meet them there to check on the boat. The boat was OK. 5 p.m. Correctional officer requested officers to assist with a prisoner. Josephine Keller, no age given, is charged with fifth-degree Criminal Mischief after destroying property in cell. 5:06 p.m. Security from Alaska SeaLife Center advised of four juveniles that he suspected were either intoxicated or on drugs. One was going to jump into the sea lion tank outside. Left headed towards the RV park area east of ASLC. 6:10 p.m. Reporting party from Apollo’s advised of 4 subjects that had a pizza and they were intoxicated. When they left, the males urinated in front of the customers outside. Contacted subjects at New Seward Hotel. 6:41 p.m. Silas Romig, no age given, was issued a citation for Minor Consuming; portable breath test registered .220. Matthew Lee White, no age given, was issued a citation for Minor Consuming; portable breath test registered .060. Juvenile subject was released; parent contacted. A fourth subject was also released. 7:05 p.m. House fire on 2nd Avenue. Fire started in the bathroom. Seward Volunteer Fire Department and Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded. 7:29 p.m. Reporting party from Dairy Hill advised they have no water. 11 p.m. Citation issued to Tracy Cummings, no age given, for proof of insurance.

4:51 a.m. Citation issued to Shawn Lyons, no age given, for headlights. 8:49 a.m. Officer reported two small rockslides on Lowell Point just north of Storm Chasers. Roads crew was advised. 11:02 a.m. Ambulance requested to North Star for a report of an elderly female with breathing difficulties. SVAC responded. 9:13 p.m. Manager of Midnight Sun Apartments advised of a loud party at Swetman apartment. Requested an officer advise her to quiet down. Contact made with subject, who will quiet down.

April 3, 2007

2:43 p.m. Third-party report of a motor vehicle accident at 4th and Washington involving two vehicles. No injuries reported, unknown damage amount. Officer advised. 3:58 Reporting party requested to talk with the Chief or Lieutenant about the junk vehicle in the ditch at Nash and Seward Hwy. Advised it was a trooper case and dispatch would contact State Troopers. Dispatch spoke with trooper, who stated the owner won’t remove it, and he was working on it. 6:05 p.m. Reporting party advised his black and silver Kona Hass mountain bike with specialized tires was taken while he was on the Mt. Marathon trail on 2nd Avenue. Value $1,000. Bike was gone when he came back down. 6:25 p.m. Troopers requested backup on a domestic violence call at Old Exit Glacier Road where rapid fire shots were heard. Contacted two subjects. No arrests made. 10:35 p.m. Citation issued to Jonathan Ray Lester, no age given, for proof of insurance.

10:30 a.m. Citation issued to Arnold VanHorn, no age given, for speeding. 11:54 a.m. Citation issued to Brittney Sawyer, no age given, for speeding. 11:07 a.m. Citation issued to Amanda Hopperdietzel, no age given, for speeding. 11:27 a.m. Citation issued to Thomas Reimer, no age given, for speeding. 1:14 p.m. The red vehicle in the ditch on Nash Road will be moved on Monday or Tuesday.
