Feb. — 16 4:08 p.m. Aron William Haddeland was arrested at Glacier Family Medical Clinic for Violating a DVRO.
Feb. 17 — 11:03 a.m. Reporting party from the harbor department advised of some kids that spray painted some private property last night at the south end of the harbor by the new construction area. Officer responding. Contacted, David M. Dieckgraeff. Wrote graffiti on an excavator. 2:23 p.m. Seward Alaska State Troopers advised of a Motor Vehicle Accident-I on Seward Highway at about Mile 10.5. SVAC and BCVFD responded. 2:57 p.m. Motor Vehicle Accident-D at Mile 13 of the Seward Hwy. BCVFD and AST responded. 4:07 p.m. Reporting party advised officer of a moose that was in a fenced area by Lowell Canyon. Officer checked and unable to locate any trapped moose. Officer saw a moose in the area, but not fenced in. 4:26 p.m. Maintenance manager of Kimberly Court advised of a male that is passed out in building C on the first landing. He is not a tennant. Contact made with David Eugene Bolbos. He was transported to his residence at Benson. 7:01 p.m. Keys found on the beach by the SeaLife Center. Three keys on a ring with an APD plastic recruitment tag on them. Placed in the key box. 9:13 p.m. Juvenile male was cited for Minor Consuming while at the dance at Washington. 10:01 p.m. Reporting party from Buick Apartments requested an officer respond to the Yukon Bar to ask them to quiet down. Officer advised to close the back door. 11:46 p.m. Officers saw male that ran from them when he saw them. Officers attempted to look for the male but unable to locate near Dora Way. Officers did security check of Dora Way Subdivision.
Feb. 18 — 4:36 p.m. Reporting party from Parks and Recreation advised she found a red mountain bike on Bear Lake Road. Gave her the trooper number to advise them. 4:43 p.m. Reporting party advised of a moose that charged a pedestrian on Monroe. Party got her vehicle between them. Another pedestrian and his dog were walking and the moose started to charge the dog. He turned around. Officer contacted the moose on Fifth Avenue and Monroe. They were eating and not bothering anyone while officer observed them. 6:05 p.m. Reporting Party from Third Avenue advised of a male that walked by her house three times and was starring into her window from the roadway. Described as approximately 5’6”, thin, glasses, wearing a dark hooded jacket and tan jeans. Last seen going north on Fourth Avenue. Gone on arrival.
Feb. 19 — 12:58 p.m. Anonymous report of small children playing behind a snow bank on Stoney Road. Complainant was concerned for their safety. SAST was advised. 3:29 p.m. Reporting party requested to speak with an officer regarding juveniles that were inappropriately using a computer at Pacific Park Apartments. Officer met party and several other parents in the manager’s office of Kimberly Court. 11:25 p.m. Earthquake of preliminary magnitude 6.8 located in the southern Molucca Sea. No tsunami generated.
Feb. 20 — 12:02 p.m. Reporting party from the Independent Learning Center requested a welfare check on an employee who they had not heard from since Wednesday, February 14. Dispatch was able to contact the employee who stated everything was fine and they were headed into work. Dispatch advised the employer and Officer. 1:45 p.m. Reporting party Christalina Jager reported her vehicle had been hit in front of her residence. Officer responded.
Feb. 21 — 2:30 a.m. Mary from the fisheries called and advised that there was a boat listing that was in danger of possibly damaging the dock. Harbor worker was advised and responded. 5:38 a.m. Resurrection Bay Seafoods called and advised that they had no power and that the building was freezing up. Dispatcher requested that the crew be called out. 10:29 a.m. Verbal warning issued to Richard Jones while driving on Third and Monroe for speeding. 10:35 a.m. Citation/verbal warning issued to Richard Brown while driving on Seward and Iron Drive for speeding and a verbal warning for failure to carry insurance. 10:49 a.m. Verbal warning issued to Marie Gage while driving on Fouth for headlight requirement. 11:36 a.m. Officers responded to Seward Fish for a 911 hang up. Received a call from TelAlaska advising they were working on the phone line at Seward Fish and had set off the 911 alarm by mistake. Officers advised. 11:51 a.m. Verbal warning issued to Michael Beach for speeding. 6:09 p.m. Citation issued to Simone Triplett Johnson at Third and Madison for headlight requirement. 7:31 p.m. Citation issued to Charles Bronson at the north 72-hour lot for headlight requirement. 8:14 p.m. Wesley rehab requested an ambulance for a female having difficulty breathing. 8:32 p.m. Citation issued to Becky Roy at Third and Jefferson for headlight requirements. 8:37 p.m. Reporting party, Terry Moon advised of a gray Chevy pickup that was parked in front of the gate of Alaska Vocational Technical Center maintenance shop, belonging to Vincent Nappi. Nappi had an altercation with the supervisor and reporting party did not think he was supposed to be there. Nappi left prior to officer’s arrival. Checked building. Nothing appeared to be missing. Party will contact his boss and check again tomorrow.
