NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seward City Council will meet for a work session/retreat on Saturday, March 3, 2007 beginning at 9:00 am until finished. Some of the topics on the city manager’s agenda that will be discussed are:
Ø Discussing Seward’s vision
Ø Capital projects and the city’s list of needs such as, but not limited to; the long-term care facility, Forest Acres levee project, infrastructure needs, harbor floats, new shop, new generators, SMC dock, Mary Lowell Center, pavilions and street paving.
Ø Bonds, grants, funding issues.
Ø Broader issues like; alternative energy, SMIC area, in-house vs outsourcing, housing issues, and tax-exempt properties.
Ø Internal operations and budgeting.
The meeting will take place in the Upstairs Conference room in City Hall, 410 Adams Street, Seward. Although this is intended to be a retreat session between council members and the city manager, any and all interested persons are invited to attend.
