Officer responded and individuals were packing up and leaving. 3:10 p.m. Ambulance requested for 54-year-old female who has been ill for a few days. Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded. 7:39 p.m. Citation issued to Sushella Roach, no age given, for headlight requirement. 8:17 p.m. Citation issued to Clint Gipson, no age given, for expired registration and a verbal warning for speed.

10:45 p.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers advised of a 911 hangup at DJ’s Bar. Callback revealed bartender was having trouble with George Ewen, no age given. Reporting party stated that the he left the bar from the rear. Officers responded and made contact with Ewen and advised he was trespassed from DJ’s for 30 days. Advisement entered in APSIN. 11:55 p.m. Caller reported a dark Toyota Tacoma, unknown plate, that was speeding out of town and parked at the Pit. Officers advised.

7:11 a.m. Reporting party advised that her vehicle was stuck in a snow bank at Ballaine and Madison. Officers responded. 10:50 p.m. Reporting party reported that she lost $600.00 between 6-6:15 p.m. yesterday. She will come in the morning to fill out report.

5:39 p.m. White Chevy reported up against the guardrail at mile 15 with no occupants. Reporting party advised there was zero visibility in the area and the vehicle was in a spot that made it hard to see. Officer was advised. 5:44 p.m. Reporting party advised of a barge that was on the beach in front of the pavilion between Fourth and Fifth Avenues. Officer responded to see if anyone was in distress and Harbor was notified. 6:46 p.m. Regarding the barge above, a tow company that was heading out to assist with the barge requested an Officer to the area. They were having a hard time seeing due to the weather and asked if the Officer could turn on his overhead lights so they could find the barge.

5:02 a.m. Ambulance requested to the Edgewater Hotel for a 59-year-old female experiencing chest pains. 5:27 a.m. Power outage at mile 19. Electric Department advised. 2:48 p.m. Reporting party advised when he came out of Safeway, the back window on his cab was shattered. Officer spoke with him and accident report forms were issued. 2:49 p.m. Sgt. Leath advised a vehicle with two individuals had driven up to Olympia Drive and one of them got out and ran in the woods. One of the occupants returned a short time later and they drove off. Sgt. Leath went into the area and discovered a snowmachine approximately 20 feet back in the woods. Officers made contact with the registered owner. The owner stated that they owned the snowmachine and it had broken down last night. They will be moving it sometime this evening. 8 p.m. Reporting party advised of a power line that was striking a tree near Spenard Builders Supply. Electric Department was contacted. 8:28 p.m. Guardian Security advised the alarm from the American Legion was sounding. Officer responded and found the front door secure. Dispatch was unable to contact a responsible party.

12:17 a.m. Reporting party advised that while his vehicle was parked in front of the Yukon, it was broken into and several CDs were stolen. Officer responded. 12:27 a.m. Caller advised of a tree down on the power lines in front of a residence on Bear Lake Road approximately a quarter of a mile from the Seward Highway on the left. Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Electric Department responded. 4:45 a.m. Officer advised of vehicle at mile 20 of the Seward Highway with engine complications. Advised Soldotna Alaska State Troopers that an officer and a wrecker would be advised. Shortly after, reporting officer advised the vehicle was started and he would follow the driver to town. 5:56 a.m. Caller advised of a tree that is laying across the power lines between miles 18-22, causing a flame in the top of the trees. BCVFD, SVAC and Moose Pass Volunteer Fire Department and Electric Department were advised. BCVFD advised it was more in the MPVFD zone. MPVFD advised there was really nothing they could do and to be sure to advise the Electric. Electric responding. 8:06 a.m. Reporting party advised of a two-car accident at Hertz on Port Ave. No injuries reported. Rose Szymanski, no age given, was issued a citation for failure to yield when turning left. 1 p.m. Reporting party came in and advised that they had made a purchase online and that it was a not a legitimate business. Officer spoke with them. 1:50 p.m. Public works advised that they were stuck on Fourth Avenue in the 200 block and that there was a red pickup blocking the way. Officers responded and contacted the owner at Sourdough Lodging and they moved it. 3:11 p.m. Motor vehicle accident with damage reported at the intersection of Fourth and Adams. The unnamed driver of one vehicle was issued a ticket for seatbelt, and the unnamed driver of the other vehicle was issued a ticket for failure to yield turning left. 4:09 p.m. Monitoring service advised of a fire alarm at Chamberlain. Seward Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched. Found to be a small kitchen fire that was out, with light smoke in the house. 5:57 p.m. Fire alarm sounding from Madison. Reporting party requested assistance with resetting it. Officer was advised. 7:26 p.m. Power outage: report of a transformer at Mile 5 that had exploded. Electric department was advised.

9:31 a.m. Power outage reported at the Junior High School. Electric Department was notified. 2:56 p.m. Motor vehicle accident with damage reported at the Chevron involving two vehicles with no injuries. Officer responded and accident report forms were issued. 5:21 p.m. Female advised her vehicle was broken down on Third and Van Buren. A tow truck will not be available until Tuesday. It is not blocking traffic.
