Advised to stay away from the bear and it should go back up the mountain. 5:46 p.m. 911/Medical Reporting party was at Resurrection Lutheran Church and stated her father was choking. Right after that she said he got it out and hung up. Called back and spoke with another person who stated he was choking on a hot dog and was given the Heimlich and it came out. They did not need any further assistance. 6:07 Hospital requested Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps pick up Aeromed at the airport at 6:30 p.m. 8:47 p.m. Report of an intoxicated pedestrian. Reporting party advised of a subject with a light beard wearing an orange coat, walking in middle of road on Port Avenue toward the cruise ship dock. Officer spoke with RP who thought he may have gone to tent city. Checked tent city, the cruise ship dock, the small boat launch area and unable to locate subject. 10 p.m. Reporting party advised his girlfriend was unconscious but breathing in the bathroom at their cabin on Lowell Point. She responded to some of his questions while on the phone, but would not wake up. D8 responded to check for suspicious circumstances. Trooper was advised. Refused treatment.

12:54 p.m. Reporting party advised a dog bit his 6-year-old daughter. Animal control officer advised. 1:30 p.m. Ambulance requested for a male subject that fell down at Seaview Plaza. SVAC dispatched. Caller advised a first responder was on scene and the ambulance was not needed. SVAC canceled at 1:31. 4:52 p.m. Road Condition: Turnagin Pass has 5-6 inches of snow on the road. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers advised Department Of Transportation. 4:58 p.m. Reporting party advised a tree was almost on the ground partially blocking the southbound lane at mile 25 Seward Highway. Notified DOT who will respond. 6:39 p.m. 911/hang up from Second Avenue. Called back and spoke with subject who said his caretakers are not taking care of him and he can’t take it anymore. He wants to go to a nursing home. Officers responded to talk with him. 7:16 p.m. 911 Reporting party from above entry called and wanted his caretakers out of his house. Officer had already been there to speak with him. Everyone is intoxicated. 8:51 p.m. Road Update: Reporting party advised around Turnagain there is 8 inches of snow and the plows are out working. 9:35 p.m. Reporting party advised the alarm is sounding at Helly Hansen. Building was secure. Front door appears loose, possibly setting off alarm in the wind. Contacted owner and he will go and take care of it.

1:10 a.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers dispatched Moose Pass Volunteer Fire Department for a single-vehicle accident at Mile 33 Seward Highway. Trooper responded. 12:02 p.m. Shoplifting report. Officer responded to juvenile in the Safway parking lot with a sandwich, 12 oz. drink and 2 cookies. Subject was released to his parents. 1:17 p.m. A gold nugget and diamond watch was lost at the Seward Middle School in the construction area. Contact information was entered into the Lost and Found Journal. 2 p.m. Manager at the Taroka Inn advised subject has stayed at the Inn without paying. Officer advised. 2:42 p.m. Warrant Recalled: Colman, Failure To Appear, Original Charge Speeding. Warrant removed from APSIN and original sent back to court. 3:30 p.m. Caller advised of a black chevy pickup passing on double yellow and speeding in front of the Breeze Inn. Officer advised.

11 a.m. Ambulance requested to Second Ave for a male subject having seizures. Subject was transported to Seward Providence Medical Center. Seward Volunteer Fire Department assisted with lifting. 11:02 a.m. Trooper requested to 2 mile Nash Road for a small bear cub that has been hit. 11:05 a.m. Black bear cub running through the yard at Resurection heading toward Marathon Road. 2:30 p.m. Caller advised a male subject driving vehicle described as a red Jeep Cheroke heading South toward Seward driving all over the road. Caller advised subject followed her into her driveway and when she spoke with him he was very distraught, possibly intoxicated. SAST advised. 1E40 arrested Moriarty, no age or first name given, for Driving Under the Influence.

4:10 p.m. James Andrew Krasnansky, no age given, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence at Second Avenue after a 911 call of a male subject crawling through a window at that residence. He was in his vehicle upon officers’ arrival. 5:48 p.m. Manager of Bayside Apts advised subject was in an apartment at Bayside, and she was not supposed to be there. The owner is in Anchorage and the aunt that lives across the hall let her in. Manager also wants her criminally trespassed from Bayside Apartments. Info to officers. 8:25 p.m. Reporting party advised her husband was intoxicated and trying to break the window and banging on the door to get in. Contacted the husband at Phoenix. Contacted RP at her residence. Subjects were separated for the night and he was advised not to return to the apartment tonight.

1:34 a.m. Warrant Arrest/SAST Assault IV, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Mischief IV Caller advised of a fist fight in front of Tony’s Bar.Officer responded. Ian Dodds, no age given, was incarcerated at the Seward City Jail. Second subject was punched in the nose by Dodds and to Providence Medical Center for treatment. 4:57 p.m. Reporting party from Midnight Sun Apartments advised of black smoke coming from the furnace room of the four-plex. Advised to evacuate other tenants. SVFD and SVAC responded. No fire. Malfunctioning furnace. 8:49 p.m. Teen and Youth Center is hosting a dance at the Seward Resort and three high school kids are hanging around and have been told to leave. Requested a driveby so they would leave.
